If you have diabetes

If you have diabetes, the best way to manage this is to eat consistantly and regularly a high carbohydrate diet. Enusre you have your 5 a day but not too much high sugar fruits such as oranges and mangoes.  Try to keep your blood sugars between 6-7mmols as this doesn't damage the nerve endings and eye damage. The gp's call this neuropathy disease. This is where the nerve endings die by slow deterioration with the high sugar rotting them.

If you eat high sugar foods and know this the best thing to do is to go out for a long walk or do some vigorous exercise to use up the sugar running in the blood.

The symptoms to watch out for in high or low sugar is dizzy spells, severe hunger, excessive urine output and slurring like a drunk man.If you experience theses symptoms then you must seek advice soon as possible.

To reduce blood pressure you must learn to take a deep breath by inhaling  and exhaling a longer one out. Preferably double the one inhaled.  By doing this it calms the mind relaxes the artery walls and hence more blood flow around the body with ease. Another way to help reduce blood pressure is by eating bananas. There is potassium in bananas which aids in reducing blood pressure over a period of time. You must remember to eat only one a day as too much potassium can give you flutters.
